Biography

Stan Jones brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Jones started his entertainment career with his music in films like the William Holden western "Escape From Fort Bravo" (1953) and the John Wayne western adventure "The Searchers" (1956). His music also appeared on the television show "Cheyenne" (ABC, 1956-1963). In addition to his music, Jones appeared in the Fess Parker adventure "The Great Locomotive Chase" (1956) and the dramatic adaptation "The Rainmaker" (1956) with Katharine Hepburn. In the fifties and the nineties, Jones's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the western "Westward Ho the Wagons!" (1956) with Fess Parker and the comedy sequel "Blues Brothers 2000" (1998) with Dan Aykroyd. Jones was most recently credited in "Entourage" (2015). Jones passed away in December 1963 at the age of 49.
