Johnson's career beginnings included film roles in "Goodbye Pork Pie" (1980), the Jack Thompson action film "Bad Blood" (1983) and "Utu" (1983). Johnson also appeared in "Journey to Spirit Island" (1988) starring Bettina Bush, "The Wayans Bros." (WB, 1994-96) and "Ronnie and Julie" (Showtime, 1996-97). He also worked on "Black Knight" (2001) starring Martin Lawrence. More recently, Johnson worked on the Jennifer Lopez thriller "The Boy Next Door" (2015).
