He also contributed to "West Side Story" (1961) starring Natalie Wood and "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" with Gene Wilder (1971). In the seventies and the eighties, Jeffrey devoted his time to various credits, such as "The Seven Per-Cent Solution" with Alan Arkin (1976), "The Turning Point" (1977) and "Chapter Two" (1979) starring James Caan. He also worked on "Divine Madness" with Bette Midler (1980) and "Nijinsky" with Alan Bates (1980). Jeffrey more recently appeared on "Natalie Wood" (Cinemax, 1987-88).
