Dr. Clarence Flaten - Photos
Photos of Dr. Clarence Flaten, professor at Indiana University (Bloomington, Indiana). 1910 - 1974. Renowned for his landmark scientific film for educational uses, winner of national and international awards, including a series developed for the Biological Sciences Curriculum project, which was acclaimed by the National Science Foundation. "Extra Embryonic Membranes, produced in collaboration with Dr. Geoge Vuke, won the National Golden Eagle Award from the Council on International Non-Theatrical Events (CINE). Footage from slow motion film on the cloning of axolotyls was used and credited in 1974 documentary, "The Outer Space Connection." Flaten's professional and personal archives are housed in the Archives division of the Indiana University Library.
