Yujiro Ishihara was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In 1956, he made his screen debut in Takumi Furukawa's "Taiyo No Kisetsu" ("Season Of The Sun"). In 1957, he won the Blue Ribbon Award for "Arashi O Yobu Otoko" ("The Man Who Causes A Storm") and "Washi To Taka" ("The Eagle And The Falcon"). In 1956, he starred in "Kurutta Kajitsu" ("Crazed Fruit") with his future wife Mie Kitahara. Ishihara began his career with a role in "Alone on the Pacific" (1963) with Masayuki Mori. Ishihara began to focus on film after appearing in the Stuart Whitman comedic adventure "Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines" (1965). Later in his career, Ishihara acted in "Machi-buse" (1970). Ishihara passed away in July 1987 at the age of 53.
