Biography
Best known as the ill-fated Herbert Quartermaine of ABC's medical soap "General Hospital," small-screen actor Will Hunt enjoyed a prolific career spanning from the late '70s to the early '90s. Hunt rose to prominence following guest appearances on the fan favorite comedies "Laverne & Shirley" and "Happy Days," playing a preacher on the former and a ship captain on the latter. The desert diner sitcom "Alice" cast Hunt as three separate characters, the most memorable being "Arrested Santa" on the 1979 holiday episode "Mel, the Magi." Hunt went on to play similarly unflattering souses on Nell Carter's cop comedy "Gimme A Break!" and the Mr. T AWOL actioner, "The A-Team." Outside of drunkards, Hunt has played postal employees in two of his most prominent works. He portrayed the postmaster in a 1978 episode of "Little House on the Prairie," and a mailman in "The Karate Kid: Part II," the blockbuster sequel to the original family classic. In 1989, Hunt landed a recurring role on the Emmy-nominated TV western "Guns of Paradise." His character featured prominently in 15 episodes of the series, including the first season closer, "Long Lost Lawson." Hunt's final performance came in 1992 on the short-lived George Clooney-led crime drama, "Body of Evidence."
