Biography
Don Edwards was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He also appeared in the TV movie "The D.A.: Conspiracy to Kill" (NBC, 1970-71). He had a part on the television special "J. Edgar Hoover" (1992-93). He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "Austin City Limits" (PBS, 1974-2015). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Elko: A Cowboy Gathering" (1994-95), "Michael Martin Murphey's WestFest at Copper Mountain" (The Nashville Network, 1994-95) and "America's Music: The Roots of Country" (TBS, 1995-96). He also appeared in "All My Friends Are Cowboys" (PBS, 1998-99). He also worked in film during these years, including a part on the dramatic adaptation "The Horse Whisperer" (1998) with Robert Redford. Edwards most recently appeared on "Jim Varney: The E! True Hollywood Story" (E! Networks, 2000-01).
