Biography
Charles Dutoit worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. He had a part on the television special "Les Contes d'Hoffman" (PBS, 1987-88). He also acted in various film roles at the time, appearing in the Quing Yi biopic drama "Le Palanquin des larmes" (1988). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "In Concert at the U.N. With Yo-Yo Ma and the Montreal Symphony Orchestra" (PBS, 1989-1990) and "Lar Lubovitch Dance Co. and Momix: Pictures on the Edge" (PBS, 1991-92). His career progressed to film, including a role in "When the Fire Burns: The Life and Music of Manuel de Falla" (1991). Dutoit most recently appeared in "The 40th Annual Pablo Casals Festival" (1996-97).
