Biography

Child actor Ryan Drescher is known for his roles in "Stargate SG-1," "Supernatural," and "The Sandlot: Heading Home." Drescher first appeared in the James Cameron-created "Dark Angel," the science fiction series about children genetically engineered to be super-soldiers, starring Jessica Alba. The same year, he also had roles in the space fantasy "Andromeda" and the post-apocalyptic "Jeremiah," starring Luke Perry and Malcolm-Jamal Warner. In 2003, Drescher acted in the science-fiction series "Stargate SG-1" and the TV movie "Phenomenon II," a sequel to the John Travolta film about a man who gains telekinetic powers. Drescher can also be seen in "Alone in the Dark," the action horror film starring Christian Slater, Tara Reid, and Stephen Dorff. Drescher appeared in "Neverwas," the fantasy drama starring Aaron Eckhart, Ian McKellen and Brittany Murphy which premiered at the 2005 Toronto International Film Festival. In 2006, he had a role in "Supernatural," the WB series following two demon-hunting supernatural crime fighters, and the year after, Drescher played Wings in "The Sandlot: Heading Home," the third in the successful kids baseball film franchise. The movie follows a successful baseball star who is transported back in time to 1976 to relive the small town games he used to play with his friends, learning the value of friendship over fame in the process.
