Biography
Actor Rex Holman appeared on the big screen many times over the course of his Hollywood career. Holman started his acting career landing roles in films, such as the Ray Stricklyn western "Young Jesse James" (1960), "Panic in Year Zero" (1962) with Ray Milland and "The Choppers" (1962). He also appeared in the musical drama "Your Cheatin' Heart" (1964) with George Hamilton and the The Three Stooges comedy "The Outlaws Is Coming!" (1965). Holman worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "The Twilight Zone" (CBS, 1959-1964). Holman also contributed music to the action picture "Deadwood '76" (1965) with Arch Hall Jr.. He continued to work steadily in film throughout the sixties and the seventies, appearing in "The Sandpiper" (1965), "The Wrecking Crew" (1968) and the Michael Douglas adventure "Napoleon and Samantha" (1972). He also starred in the TV movies "Cutter's Trail" (CBS, 1969-1970) and "The Bounty Man" (ABC, 1972). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Star Trek" (NBC, 1966-69). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the drama "When the Legends Die" (1972) with Richard Widmark, the drama "The Hindenburg" (1975) with George C Scott and "Treasure of Matecumbe" (1976) with Robert Foxworth. He also was featured in the TV movies "Kiss Me... Kill Me" (1975-76), "The Legend of the Golden Gun" (NBC, 1978-79) and "The Wild Women of Chastity Gulch" (ABC, 1982-83). Holman more recently acted in the action movie "Star Trek V: the Final Frontier" (1989) with William Shatner.
