One of Hollywood's most famous unseen faces, Kane Hodder didn't orginate the role of hockey mask-wearing psychopath Jason Voorhees (that would be Ari Lehman in 1980's original "Friday the 13th"), nor did he make an appearance for the first six installments of the series, but he's now identified with the character more than any other actor, and is the only person to have portrayed the seemingly immortal behemoth more than once. Despite playing brutes, thugs, and other villainous types, Hodder's bulky appearance can be misleading, as he is actually both a family man (he has two sons by his wife, Susan B. Hodder), and an affable poker player, often appearing on the celebrity tournament circuit. When not appearing in films as a lead villain, Hodder is an accomplished stunt technician and coordinator, working on almost a hundred productions (mostly theatrical features) since the late 1970s. Some of the more noteworthy productions Hodder has worked on have included David Fincher's "Se7en," Tony Scott's "Enemy of the State," and the Nicolas Cage action picture "Gone in 60 Seconds." Respected and admired by both actors and filmmakers, Hodder also tends to appear in small roles in films like Rob Zombie's "The Devil's Rejects" and Patty Jenkins's "Monster," usually as a security guard, police officer, or some other kind of role that suitably matches his six foot, four inch frame.
