Delpy's earliest roles were in film, including the Brigitte Fossey drama "Le Pays Bleu" (1978), "Les Bancals" (1982) and "Xueiv" (1983). He also appeared in "Novembermond" (1984), "On Ne Meurt Que 2 Fois" (1985) with Michel Serrault and the drama "Miss Mona" (1987) with Jean Carmet. He kept working in film throughout the eighties and the nineties, starring in "La Queue de la comete" (1988), the Julie Delpy drama "L' Autre nuit" (1988) and "Arthur Rimbaud, une biographie" (1991). He also appeared in the Jean Rochefort romance "The Hairdresser's Husband" (1992). More recently, he continued to act in the Patrick Chesnais foreign "The Landlords" (2002), the drama sequel "Before Sunset" (2004) with Ethan Hawke and "Villa Des Roses" (2005) with Julie Delpy.
