Hines began to focus on film after appearing in the Peter Falk crime adaptation "The Brink's Job" (1978). Later in his career, Hines acted in the dramatic adaptation "Amadeus" (1984) with F. Murray Abraham. Hines passed away in August 1985 at the age of 55.
