Biography
Julia Davis was an actress who lit up the silver screen many times with her sidesplitting comedic genius. Davis's acting career began with roles in action films like "The Parole Officer" (2001) starring Steve Coogan. She also appeared in the TV movie "Power Play" (Cinemax, 2003-04). She worked in television in her early acting career as well, including a part on "Nighty Night" (Oxygen, 2003-06). Her passion for acting continued to her roles in projects like the dramatic comedy "Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself" (2004) with Jamie Sives and the comedy "Confetti" (2006) with Martin Freeman. She continued to work steadily in television throughout the early 2000s, appearing on "Ideal" (IFC, 2004-08) and "Gavin & Stacey (BBC)" (BBC, 2007-2010). In her more recent career, she continued to act in "Four Lions" (2010) with Kevin Eldon. She also was featured in the TV movie "Persuasion" (PBS, 2007). She also lent her distinctive voice to the animated movie "Arthur Christmas" (2011) with James McAvoy. Davis most recently acted on "Inside No. 9" (BBC 2, 2013-).
