Biography
With a successful directing career, Eloy De La Iglesia boasts the ability to create compelling screen images. De La Iglesia's early work as a director consisted of a variety of independent films, such as "El Techo de Cristal" (1971) with Carmen Sevilla, "La Criatura" (1977) and "La Mujer del Ministro" (1981). He continued to work in film in the eighties and the early 2000s, directing motion pictures like "El Pico" (1983), the drama "El Diputado" (1984) with José Sacristán and the Pedro Maria Sanchez drama "Otra Vuelta de Tuerca" (1985). He also appeared in "La Estanquera de Vallecas" (1986) and the drama "Colegas" (1987) with Antonio Gonzalez. De La Iglesia last directed "Bulgarian Lovers" (2004). De La Iglesia passed away in March 2006 at the age of 62.
