In the early stages of her Hollywood career, David acted in comedies like "Afterglow" (1997) with Nick Nolte and Julie Christie and "A Walk on the Moon" (1999) with Diane Lane and Liev Schreiber. She also starred in the TV movies "Random Encounter" (1998-99), "Requiem For Murder" (Cinemax, 1998-99) and "Fatal Affair" (Cinemax, 1998-99). She continued to work steadily in film throughout the early 2000s, appearing in the crime drama "Wicked Minds" (2005) with Angie Everhart and the dramatic comedy "L' Audition" (2005) with Luc Picard. Her work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "The Stork Derby" (Lifetime, 2002-03). She also lent her voice to "Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat" (PBS, 2001-02). In her more recent career, she tackled roles in the Seann William Scott comedic sports movie "Goon" (2012), the Tobey Maguire dramatic biopic "Pawn Sacrifice" (2015) and "Brooklyn" (2015) with Saoirse Ronan. She also lent her distinctive voice to the Christopher Plummer animated movie "Sarila" (2014). David most recently appeared in "The Art of More" (2015-).
