Cropper's early acting career mostly consisted of roles in various films, such as the John Waters dramedy "Going Sane" (1986), "The Seventh Floor" (1994) and the dramatic adaptation "Blackrock" (1997) with Laurence Breuls. She had an early role on the television special "Melba" (PBS, 1988-89). She continued to act in productions like "Envy" (1999), the Richard Roxburgh dramatic adaptation "Passion" (1999) and "Teesh & Trude" (2003). More recently, she continued to act in the drama "Little Fish" (2006) with Cate Blanchett and the Matthew McConaughey action flick "Fool's Gold" (2008). Most recently, Cropper appeared in "The Pacific" (2009-2010).
