Biography

No matter what role, Sandy Helberg never failed to cause uncontrollable laughter throughout his film career. He also was featured in the miniseries "Harold Robbins' "79 Park Avenue"" (1977-78). He had an early role on the television special "Off the Wall" (NBC, 1976-77). He also appeared in the TV movie "The Love Boat" (ABC, 1976-77). In the beginning of his Hollywood career, Helberg acted in films like "High Anxiety" (1977). He then appeared in the Tony Danza comedy "The Hollywood Knights" (1980), "The Jazz Singer" (1980) and "History of the World Part I" (1981) with Mel Brooks. He also appeared in the comedy "Modern Problems" (1981) with Chevy Chase. Helberg's more recent roles included "Mortal Kombat" (1995), the Rodney Dangerfield comedy "Meet Wally Sparks" (1997) and the comedy "School for Scoundrels" (2006) with Billy Bob Thornton. He held additional roles in television including a part on "The Mommies" (NBC, 1993-94). Most recently, Helberg acted on "NTSF:SD:SUV" (Cartoon Network, 2010-13).
