In the early stages of her Hollywood career, Cook acted in comedies like "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" (1982) starring Burt Reynolds. She also appeared in the TV movie "Perry Mason: The Case of the Musical Murder" (NBC, 1988-89). She worked in series television while getting her start in acting, including a part on "Wings" (1989-1997). In the nineties, Cook devoted her time to various credits, such as "Back to the Future III" (1990) starring Michael J. Fox, "My Blue Heaven" with Steve Martin (1990) and "Death Becomes Her" with Meryl Streep (1992). She also worked on "National Lampoon's Attack of the 5 Ft. 2 In. Women" (Showtime, 1993-94) and "The Beverly Hillbillies" (1993). Recently, she continued to act in the comedy "Out to Sea" (1997) with Jack Lemmon and the Woody Harrelson dramatic adaptation "The Hi-Lo Country" (1998). She also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Earth 2" (NBC, 1994-95). Cook most recently appeared in "Mystery Woman: Vision of a Murder" (Hallmark Channel, 2004-05).
