Biography
Laura Harrington was a prolific actress who created a name for herself largely on the big screen. Harrington began her acting career appearing in various films, such as "The Dark End of the Street" (1981), "The City Girl" (1984) and the Cameron Dye comedy "Joy of Sex" (1984). She also appeared in the fantastical comedy "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai: Across the 8th Dimension" (1984) with Peter Weller and "Maximum Overdrive" (1986). Her work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "L.A. Takedown" (NBC, 1988-89). She also appeared in the TV special "The Dancing Princess" (Showtime, 1987-88). She also worked in film during these years, including a part on "Gangland" (1988) with Scott Glenn. Harrington took on film roles in more recent years, appearing in the Keanu Reeves dramatic adaptation "The Devil's Advocate" (1997) and the Gena Rowlands comedic fantasy "Paulie" (1998). She also was featured in the TV movie "The Secret" (CBS, 1991-92). Most recently, Harrington wrote the fantasy "The Moon and the Sun" (2015) with Pierce Brosnan.
