Biography
Jose Carreras was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Carreras worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "La Boheme" (1989), "Man of Flowers" (1983) and "Met Centennial Gala Telecast" (PBS, 1983-84). He also contributed to "Romanca Final" (1987), "The Night of Music: A Global Celebration" (PBS, 1986-87) and "Werther" (1986) starring Eusebio Poncela. He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "West Side Story: The Making of An Album" (1990-91), "Jose Carreras and Friends" (1991-92) and "From Vienna: The New Year's Celebration 1992" (PBS, 1991-92). He also appeared in "The Grand Opening of Euro Disney" (CBS, 1991-92). Additionally, he could be seen on a variety of television specials like "Tibor Rudas Presents Carreras, Domingo, Pavarotti with Mehta: The Three Tenors in Concert 1994" (1993-94), "The Making of Carreras, Domingo, Pavarotti and Mehta: The Three Tenors in Concert 1994" (PBS, 1994-95) and "Placido Domingo: A Musical Life" (PBS, 1994-95). He also appeared in "Mozart's "Requiem" From Sarajevo" (1994-95) and "Three Tenors in Concert" (1995-96). Most recently, Carreras appeared in "The Three Tenors in the Forbidden City" (2001-02).
