Hallett found his beginnings in film with roles in the comedic adaptation "All For Mary" (1955) with Nigel Patrick, "1,000 Convicts and a Woman" (1971) with Alexandra Hay and "Virgin Witch" (1973). He went on to act in "Keep It Up Downstairs" (1976), "The Four Feathers" (NBC, 1977-78) and "Game For Vultures" (1979). He also appeared in "4D Special Agents" (1981) and "The Zany Adventures of Robin Hood" (CBS, 1983-84). Later in his career, Hallett appeared in "Jeeves & Wooster" (PBS, 1990-91).
