Biography
Harry Baer was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Baer appeared in such films as "Rio das Mortes" (1970) with Hanna Schygulla, "Whity" (1970) with Hanna Shygulla and the dramatic adaptation "Pioniere in Ingolstadt" (1970) with Irm Hermann. He also appeared in "Das Kaffeehaus" (1970), the Eva Mattes drama "Wildwechsel" (1972) and "Heute Nacht Oder Nie" (1972). In the seventies and the eighties, Baer devoted his time to various credits, such as "Despair" (1978), "Berlin Alexanderplatz" (1980) and "Palermo-Wolfsburg" (1980) starring Nicola Narbo. He also worked on "Querelle" (1982). During the latter part of his career, he tackled roles in the drama "Warum Lauft Herr R. Amok?" (1989) with Kurt Raab, the Kari Väänänen comedy "Helsinki Napoli All Night Long" (1989) and the Barbara Sukowa drama "Lola" (1989). He also appeared in the drama "Veronika Voss" (1989) with Rosel Zech and the drama "Katzelmacher" (1989) with Hanna Schygulla. Baer most recently acted in "Zwischen heute und morgen" (2009).
