Biography

Eric Carmen brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Carmen worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Dirty Dancing" with Jennifer Grey (1987), "Footloose" (1984) starring Kevin Bacon and "Sid & Marty Krofft's Redeye Express" (CBS, 1987-88). He also contributed to "That's What Friends Are For" (CBS, 1989-1990), "The American Music Awards" (ABC, 1987-88) and "To Die For" (1995) starring Nicole Kidman. In addition to other aspects of his resume, Carmen also provided music for such motions pictures as the Billy Crudup dramedy "Almost Famous" (2000) and the Mike Myers box office smash animated sequel "Shrek 2" (2004). His music also appeared in the dramatic comedy "Almost Famous" (2000) with Billy Crudup and the Mike Myers hit animated sequel "Shrek 2" (2004). Carmen's music was also a part of "Nearing Grace" (2006), "The Brothers Solomon" (2007) with Will Forte and the Adam Sandler smash hit comedy adventure "Bedtime Stories" (2008).
