Biography
Gedeon Burkhard followed in his mother and great-grandfather's footsteps by becoming an actor, and has appeared in many German and American films and TV series. After working steadily in Germany during the 1980s, he moved to the United States in the 1990s, where he was quickly cast as an immigrant stableboy on the family TV series "The New Adventures of Black Beauty." From 1995 to 2001, he appeared in his most famous role, as the hardened cop Alexander Brandtner in the long-running Austrian police drama "Kommissar Rex." Since then, he's appeared as Cpl. Wilhelm Wicki in Quentin Tarantino's World War II revisionist drama "Inglourious Basterds."
