Biography
Georgia Backus was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Backus started off her career in film with roles in the Orson Welles drama "Citizen Kane" (1941), the drama "The Magnificent Ambersons" (1942) with Joseph Cotten and the drama "Lady in the Dark" (1944) with Ginger Rogers. Backus next focused her career on film, appearing in "Suddenly It's Spring" (1947) with Paulette Goddard, "Force of Evil" (1948) and "Mother Didn't Tell Me" (1950). She also appeared in "Cause For Alarm" (1951). Later in her career, Backus acted in the Ricardo Montalban action movie "Mark of the Renegade" (1951).
