Biography
Christopher Guard was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He also appeared in the TV movie "Les Miserables" (CBS, 1978-79). Guard worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "I, Claudius" (PBS, 1977-78). He appeared in a number of television specials, including "The Tempest" (PBS, 1979-1980) and "Malice Aforethought" (PBS, 1980-81). He also landed a role in the miniseries "A Woman of Substance" (1984-85). He also appeared in the TV special "My Cousin Rachel" (PBS, 1985-86). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Agatha Christie's "Dead Man's Folly"" (CBS, 1985). He also had roles in film during these years, including roles in "Memoirs of a Survivor" (1981) and the Albert Finney crime picture "Loophole" (1986). Additionally, he appeared on the television special "Frankenstein: The True Story" (1994-95). Guard most recently appeared in "Poirot: Lord Edgware Dies" (A&E Network, 1999).
