Biography
Kathryn Grody found incredible success as an accomplished actress, appearing in a variety of films throughout her Hollywood career. Early on, Grody mostly landed roles in various films, including "Harry and Walter Go to New York" (1976), the crime feature "The Big Fix" (1978) with Richard Dreyfuss and the comedy "Rich Kids" (1979) with Trini Alvarado. She also appeared in "The Rose" (1979) with Bette Midler and the drama "My Bodyguard" (1980) with Chris Makepeace. She also appeared in the TV movie "The Execution of Private Slovik" (NBC, 1973-74). Her passion for acting continued to her roles in projects like "Reds" (1981) with Warren Beatty, "Whose Life Is It Anyway?" (1981) and "Parents" (1989) with Randy Quaid. She also appeared in "Quick Change" (1990). She also appeared in the TV special "The Exchange Student" (CBS, 1984-85). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the Diane Keaton comedic drama "The Lemon Sisters" (1990), the comedy "Life With Mikey" (1993) with Michael J. Fox and the Federico Luppi dramatic adaptation "Men With Guns" (1998). She also appeared in the Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio drama "Limbo" (1999). Most recently, Grody acted on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (2001-2011). Grody was married to Mandy Patinkin and had two sons, Gideon Patinkin and Isaac Patinkin.
