Biography
Former vaudevillian and Ziegfeld Girl who moved with her husband Billy Bletcher to Los Angeles, where she performed as a Bathing Beauty and he as a stock comic in Mack Sennett's repertory company. Bletcher never gained the prominence of her husband but worked with him in a series of silent comic two-reelers and features before he was teamed with Billy Gilbert by producer Hal Roach. Later Bletcher acted on the TV series "Wagon Train" (1957-65) for five years and played small film roles in "Thoroughly Modern Millie" (1967), "Pete's Dragon" (1977) and "Heaven Can Wait" (1978).
