Biography
Actress Lecy Goranson began her career at the age of 14 with the role of older sister Becky Conner on the hit sitcom "Roseanne." Goranson continued as a regular on the show until 1992, when she temporarily left to begin studies at Vassar. Her absence was explained by having her character elope with her boyfriend. Although the role of Becky was taken over by Sarah Chalke, the show's producers played a number of pranks on viewers over the next several seasons, with Goranson occasionally reappearing as Becky during random scenes. However, by the show's ninth season, Goranson had bowed out entirely, leaving the role to Chalke. Since 1995 she was cast in the films "How to Make an American Quilt" (1995), "Boys Don't Cry" (1999), and "The Perfect Dress" (2007). She has also worked in television, making appearances on "Sex and the City," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," and "Fringe."
