Biography
Xavier Beauvois was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Beauvois's career in acting began with his roles in various films like "Nord" (1991) with Bulle Ogier, "Aux Petits Bonheurs" (1994) and "Les Amoureux" (1994) with Nathalie Richard. He also appeared in "Don't Forget You're Going to Die" (1997), "Le Jour et la nuit" (1997) with Alain Delon and the Victoire Thivisol drama "Ponette" (1997). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the early 2000s, appearing in the Kristin Scott Thomas comedic adventure "Arsene Lupin" (2004), the Jalil Lespert crime drama "The Young Lieutenant" (2006) and "Mauvaise Foi" (2006). Beauvois was nominated for a Film Not in the English Language BAFTA Award for "Of Gods and Men" in 2010. In his more recent career, he continued to act in "Meeting With an Angel" (2011), "De Bon Matin" (2011) and the Hafsia Herzi period drama "House of Pleasures" (2011). He also appeared in the Jean-Paul Rouve drama "Quand je serai petit" (2012) and the dramatic adaptation "Farewell, My Queen" (2012) with Diane Kruger. Most recently, Beauvois directed the comedy "La Rancon De Glory" (2015) with BenoƮt Poelvoorde.
