Biography

Eugene Robert Glazer is an intense actor perhaps best known for his role as the lethal Operations of Section One on the American espionage television show "La Femme Nikita," the small-screen version of the French action thriller directed by Luc Besson, and the American remake, "Point of No Return," directed by John Badham and starring Bridget Fonda. He also appeared in several second-season episodes of the suspense show "24." Glazer was a long-time veteran of film and television before "Nikita" and "24," though, featuring in numerous programs including the female-centric action series"Charlie's Angels," the seminal 1980s cop show "Hill Street Blues," the quintessential long-running soap opera "General Hospital," and the rough-and-tumble Western adventure "Walker, Texas Ranger" among others. Certain film-star comedians have taken something of a liking to Glazer, and his piercing stare was powerful enough to land him in such feature films as Eddie Murphy's "Harlem Nights" and Robert Townsend's independent comedy "Hollywood Shuffle" as well as his "The Five Heartbeats." Perhaps it was Glazer's earlier role in the the 1979 sci-fi "Parts: The Clonus Horror," a film so mock-worthy that it appeared on the bad-movie-centric "Mystery Science 3000," that made him seem so funny.
