Biography

Astrud Gilberto produced music for multiple Hollywood productions during the course of her Hollywood career. Gilberto began her entertainment career with her music featured in films like the action film "Prisoner of Rio" (1988) with Steven Berkoff, "Wayne's World 2" (1993) with Mike Myers and the Hope Davis dramatic comedy "Next Stop Wonderland" (1998). An an actress as well as a musician, Gilberto took on a part in the crime drama "The Hanged Man" (1964) with Robert Culp. In the early 2000s, Gilberto's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the Sigourney Weaver action picture "Heartbreakers" (2001), the comedy "Down With Love" (2003) with Renee Zellweger and "Duplex" (2003). Her work was also in the Lisa Kudrow comedic drama "Happy Endings" (2005). Gilberto's music was also featured in "V for Vendetta" (2006), the Ellen Page box office smash dramedy "Juno" (2007) and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" (2008) with Jason Segel. Gilberto's music was most recently featured in the comedy "The Intern" (2015) with Robert De Niro.
