Biography
Joe Gieb was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Gieb started off his acting career mostly in film roles, appearing in the horror movie "The Manitou" (1978) with Tony Curtis, the Anthony Michael Hall comedy "Weird Science" (1985) and the Christopher Walken adventure "Communion, A True Story" (1989). He also appeared in the TV movie "The Midnight Hour" (ABC, 1985-86). Gieb worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "Knight & Daye" (NBC, 1988-89). He also appeared in the TV special "Harry Anderson: The Tricks of His Trade" (CBS, 1995-96). In the nineties and the early 2000s, he acted in "The Jackie Thomas Show" (ABC, 1992-93) and "Brother's Keeper" (ABC, 1998-99). Additionally, he later acted in the comedy "Whatever It Takes" (2000) with Jodi Lyn O'Keefe. Gieb focused on film in more recent years, appearing in the comedy "Epic Movie" (2007) with Kal Penn and "The Hottie and the Nottie" (2008) with Paris Hilton. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "The Game" (2006-15). Gieb most recently acted on "Review with Forrest MacNeil" (Comedy Central, 2013-15).
