Abhishek Bachchan was born into a family of Bollywood actors. His father, Amitabh, was a popular figure in Bollywood in the '70s, and his mother, Jaya, began her career as a child in Satyajit Ray's "Mahanagar." Both of his parents are highly acclaimed with numerous awards to their credit. Bachchan struggled with dyslexia as a child, but went on to Aiglon College in Switzerland before transferring to Boston University in the United States to complete his business degree. However, Bachchan ultimately dropped out of college to follow in his family's footsteps, and moved back to India to pursue a career in Bollywood. In 2000, he earned roles in three films: the musical drama "Refugee," "Tera Jadoo Chal Gayaa," and the romance "Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke." Over the next few years, he appeared in a bevy of films, steadily building his reputation. In 2004, Bachchan achieved Bollywood stardom with his turn in the action hit "Dhoom." He quickly accrued acclaim and awards between this and the crime drama "Sarkar." In 2006, the U.K. magazine Eastern Eye named Bachchan the sexiest man in Asia, while Times of India dubbed him India's most eligible bachelor. The following year Bachchan disqualified himself by marrying Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai. The two went on to co-star in 2010's adventure film "Raavan."
