Biography
James Gavin was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. His acting career began with roles in the series "The Twilight Zone" (1959-1964), "The Big Valley" (ABC, 1965-69) and "The Wild Wild West" (CBS, 1965-1970). He had an early role on the television special "Johnny Belinda" (CBS, 1954-55). During these years, he also worked in film, earning a part in "Coogan's Bluff" (1968) with Clint Eastwood. He also starred in the TV movies "The Other Man" (1970-71), "Set This Town on Fire" (NBC, 1972-73) and "Nightmare" (CBS, 1973-74). He also was featured in the TV movie "The Great Cash Giveaway Getaway" (NBC, 1979-1980). Gavin last appeared on the documentary "Wallowitch & Ross: This Moment" (1999) with John Wallowitch. Gavin passed away in September 2008.
