Biography
Steve Garvey was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He also appeared in the TV movie "I Take These Men" (CBS, 1982-83). Garvey worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "The Bold and the Beautiful" (CBS, 1986-2015). He appeared in a number of television specials, including "Celebrity Challenge of the Sexes" (1977-78), "The Celebrity Football Classic" (NBC, 1979-1980) and "Superstars & Their Moms" (ABC, 1986-87). He also appeared in the TV special "The Ring" (1989-1990). Following that project, he appeared in "Direct Hit" (1994) with William Forsythe and the sports comedy "The Scout" (1994) with Albert Brooks. He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "NBC Saturday Sports Showcase" (NBC, 1989-1990). He also was featured in the TV movie "The Darwin Conspiracy" (UPN, 1998-99). He also worked in television during these years, including roles in "Arli$" (HBO, 1996-2003) and "Just Shoot Me" (NBC, 1996-2003). Garvey also used his acting skills in films like the horror flick "The Ice Cream Man" (1995) with Clint Howard and the comedic sports movie "Baseketball" (1998) with Trey Parker. Most recently, Garvey worked on "Master of Champions" (ABC, 2005-06).
