He also acted in various movies at the time, including the Emilio Estevez action flick "Young Guns II" (1990). He also starred in the TV movies "Brotherhood of the Gun" (CBS, 1991-92) and "The Desperate Trail" (TNT, 1994-95). His career progressed to film, including a role in the action picture "Natural Born Killers" (1994) with Woody Harrelson. Gardner continued to exercise his talent in the nineties and the early 2000s, taking on a mix of projects like "The Hi-Lo Country" (1998), the Mike Myers and Mike Myers blockbuster "Austin Powers: the Spy Who Shagged Me" (1999) and "21 Grams" (2003) starring Benicio Del Toro.
