Biography
Spanish-born actor turned screenwriter of Mexican films starting in the late 1940s. Alcoriza co-wrote many of Luis Bunuel's Mexican classics, including such powerful films as "Los Olvidados" (1950), "El" (1952) and "The Exterminating Angel" (1962). Beginning in the early 60s and continuing into the late 80s, Alcoriza began directing his own films, but these are little known outside Mexico.
