Hugh French was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. French started off his career in film with roles in "If Winter Comes" (1948) with Walter Pidgeon and "Mr. Peabody and the Mermaid" (1948). French began to focus on film after appearing in "The Countess of Monte Cristo" (1948), "Sword in the Desert" (1949) and "Fancy Pants" (1950) with Bob Hope. Later in his career, French produced the Richard Burton dramatic adaptation "Under Milk Wood" (1971). French passed away in November 1976 at the age of 66.
