Shay Astar found success as an actress early on, when she was just five years old. Astar kickstarted her acting career appearing on various television sitcoms, including "Designing Women" (CBS, 1986-1993), "Boy Meets World" (ABC, 1993-2000) and "The Good Life" (NBC, 1993-94). She also appeared in the TV movie "Rio Shannon" (ABC, 1992-93). Astar began her entertainment career acting in films like the comedy "Ernest Scared Stupid" (1991) with Jim Varney. In the nineties and the early 2000s, she shifted her entertainment career towards more dramatic roles, appearing on "ER" (NBC, 1994-2009) and "Cold Case" (CBS, 2003-2010). She also landed a role in the miniseries "Seduced by Madness: The Diane Borchardt Story" (1995-96). Additionally, she later acted in "Deal of a Lifetime" (2000) with Kevin Pollak. In her more recent career, she tackled roles on "The Unit" (2005-09), "Shameless" (Showtime, 2010-) and "The Event" (NBC, 2010-11). She also acted in films like "I Know Who Killed Me" (2007) with Lindsay Lohan and "The Lost" (2008). Astar most recently acted in the thriller "All Cheerleaders Die" (2014) with Caitlin Stasey.
