Beth Fowler was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Fowler's acting career began mostly with her roles in various films, such as the Whoopi Goldberg smash hit musical comedy "Sister Act" (1992) and the comedy sequel "Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit" (1993) with Whoopi Goldberg. She also appeared in the TV movie "In the Line of Duty: Manhunt in the Dakotas" (NBC, 1990-91). She worked in series television while getting her start in acting, including a part on "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010). In the nineties and the early 2000s, Fowler devoted her time to various credits, such as "The 2000 Winter Goodwill Games" (TNT, 1999-2000), "The Masters of Figure Skating" (TNT, 1999-2000) and "Ed" (NBC, 2000-04). She also worked on "Kiss the Bride: The Ultimate Valentine" (WB, 2000-01). Fowler had a number of different projects under her belt in the early 2000s and the 2010s, including "Seasons of Life : Music of Vivaldi and O'Connor" (PBS, 2001-02), "Utah Symphony and Mormon Tabernacle Choir: The Gift of Music" (PBS, 2001-02) and "Did You Hear About the Morgans?" (2009). Her credits also expanded to "I Don't Know How She Does It" (2011) starring Sarah Jessica Parker. Most recently, Fowler appeared in "Orange is the New Black" (2012-). Fowler was nominated for an Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series Screen Actors Guild Award for "Orange is the New Black" in 2016. Fowler won an Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series Screen Actors Guild Award for "Orange is the New Black" in 2015.
