Biography
Born in South Korea, but raised in the United States, model and actress Sung Hi Lee was offered her first modeling job while attending Ohio University on an academic scholarship. Before long, Lee put her education on hold to better pursue a professional modeling career. Within a few months, Lee's pictorials took a turn into nudity, landing her on the pages of Playboy, where she has appeared a dozen times. Her pictures lead to her onscreen debut in the behind-the-scenes Playboy photoshoot feature "Edenquest: Anna Nicole Smith." While she appeared in a few more Playboy videos, Lee made the leap to acting in 1997 with a small role as a prostitute in the little-known heist mystery "Midnight Blue." After a string of similar parts, Lee landed a role in the Neil LaBute-directed stalker comedy "Nurse Betty," playing a glamorous soap opera star. Following a supporting role in the boy-meets-porn star comedy "The Girl Next Door," Lee landed a recurring role on an actual soap opera, the long-running series "Days of Our Lives." This led to bigger television roles, including a one-off on the wildly popular series "Lost," where she played ill-fated reporter Tricia Tanaka. Though her career was picking up with supporting roles in films like the Shakespeare adaptation "Richard III," the intricate ensemble drama "Crossing Over," and the raunchy comedy "Tripping Forward," Lee walked away from the spotlight in 2011, shutting down her website and instead focused on raising her newborn daughter.
