Biography

Throughout his Hollywood career, Percy Faith's musical talent was featured in a variety of Hollywood productions. He followed this honor with songs in the Sandra Dee comedy sequel "Tammy Tell Me True" (1961), the adventure "I'd Rather Be Rich" (1964) with Sandra Dee and "The Third Day" (1965). He was nominated for an Academy Award for "Love Me or Leave Me" in 1955. . In the sixties and the nineties, Faith's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like "The Oscar" (1966) with Stephen Boyd, "Lost in America" (1985) with Albert Brooks and "My American Cousin" (1986) with Margaret Langrick. His work was also in the dramatic adaptation "J.F.K." (1991) with Kevin Costner. Faith won a Best Contemporary Pop Performance, Chorus Grammy Award in 1969. Faith's music was most recently featured in the Alden Ehrenreich dramatic adaptation "Beautiful Creatures" (2013). Faith passed away in February 1976 at the age of 68.
