Biography

Greer Shephard is an American television producer and director best known for her work on the drama series "Nip/Tuck" and "The Closer." Shephard started out producing made-for-TV movies, most notably the 2000 post-collegiate film "Metropolis," which was intended as the pilot for an ongoing series. After serving as an executive producer on the short-lived sitcom "Brutally Normal," Shephard worked on the mystery movie "Bailey's Mistake" and joined the production team of the teen series "Popular," overseeing the show for its entire two-season run. Following the demise of another quickly cancelled drama series ("The D.A."), she began contributing to "Nip/Tuck," first as a producer and then as a director. Shephard worked in both capacities on "The Closer," executive producing more than 80 episodes of the acclaimed series. Other programs that Shephard has been involved with include "State of Mind," starring Lilli Taylor, and "Trust Me," featuring Eric McCormack and Tom Cavanagh, both shows that didn't last beyond their first seasons, but held considerable promise.
