Biography

Christopher Jacot has appeared in a number of guest parts on television, but, for his largest contribution, he ironically didn't appear at all. Though few probably recognize the name behind the voice, fans of the animated TV series "Fantastic Four" know Jacot as the cocky, hot-headed Human Torch. Rounding out the superhero team (endowed with powers by an accident involving cosmic rays) are Hiro Kanagawa, Lara Gilchrist, and Brian Dobson as the voices of Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, and the Thing, respectively. Christopher Jacot was a team player before he joined the ranks of the Fantastic Four. As Ensign Brent "BB" Baxton on "Battlestar Galactica," the 2006 remake of the sci-fi series about mankind's interstellar exodus in search of a new home, Jacot had a short-lived but memorable role as a rookie pilot. BB, as he was affectionately known by his fellow aviators, perished in combat against the fighter squad's most feared adversary, Scar. For the rest of the show, the character became a martyr, forever reminding his friends of their devotion to one another in the daily fight for mankind's survival.
