Biography
Paterson Joseph was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Joseph began his acting career in film, appearing in such titles as the dramatic biopic "In the Name of the Father" (1993) with Daniel Day-Lewis, the dramatic adaptation "The Beach" (2000) with Leonardo DiCaprio and "Greenfingers" (2001). He also appeared in the Armin Mueller-Stahl dramatic sports film "The Long Run" (2002). He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including parts on "Murphy's Law (BBC)" (BBC Northern Ireland, 2002-05) and "William and Mary" (2002-05). He kept working in film throughout the early 2000s, starring in "BJX" (2004) and the sci-fi motion picture "Aeon Flux" (2005) with Charlize Theron. He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Doctor Who" (BBC, 2004-). He also lent his voice to "Chop Socky Chooks" (2007-08). Recently, he tackled roles on "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" (HBO, 2007-09) and "The Leftovers" (HBO, 2013-15). He also had a part in the TV miniseries "The Hollow Crown" (2012-). Most recently, Joseph acted on "Babylon" (SundanceTV, 2014-15).
