Richard Cummings Jr. was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Cummings's career began by acting in comedies like "Hollywood Shuffle" (1987) with Robert Townsend and "Project X" (1987) with Matthew Broderick and Helen Hunt. He also appeared in the TV movie "Fatal Judgment" (CBS, 1988-89). He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "Throb" (1986-88). In the eighties and the nineties, Cummings worked on predominantly television shows such as "Beverly Hills 90210" (Fox, 1990-2000) and "Diagnosis Murder" (CBS, 1993-2001). He also starred in the TV movies "The Trial of the Incredible Hulk" (NBC, 1988) and "Dinner at Eight" (TNT, 1989-1990). During these years, he also worked in film, earning a part in the Gregory Hines sci-fi picture "Eve of Destruction" (1991). He also played parts in television during these years, including roles in "Beverly Hills 90210" (Fox, 1990-2000) and "Diagnosis Murder" (CBS, 1993-2001). Recently, he tackled roles on "Cleghorne!" (1995-96), "Murder One" (1995-97) and "Brooklyn South" (CBS, 1997-98). Most recently, Cummings acted in the drama "Valerie Flake" (1999) with Susan Traylor.
