Biography
Michael Doucet brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Early in his entertainment career, Doucet's music was featured in films like the historical drama "Belizaire the Cajun" (1986) with Armand Assante, the drama "L' Age de Monsieur est avance" (1987) with Pierre Etaix and the Dennis Quaid romance "The Big Easy" (1987). Doucet also appeared in "J'ai ete au bal" (1989) starring Walter Mouton and the Scott Playboys, "The Gun in Betty Lou's Handbag" with Penelope Ann Miller (1992) and "Louisiana Rock and Reel: BeauSoleil and La Bottine Souriante" (PBS, 1999-2000). He also worked on "Schultze Gets the Blues" (2005) and "Tremé" (HBO, 2009-2014). More recently, Doucet appeared on the documentary "This Ain't No Mouse Music!" (2014) with Chris Strachwitz.
