Phil Jones was known for more than soccer, a multitude of appearances anchored his entertainment career. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "Campaign '86: Election Night" (1986-87), "Presidential Inauguration" (CBS, 1988-89) and "48 Hours: Return to Crack Street" (CBS, 1989-1990). He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including parts on "48 Hours Mystery" (CBS, 1987-) and "Verdict" (CBS, 1990-91). In the nineties, Jones devoted his time to various credits, such as "Campaign '96: Super Tuesday" (CBS, 1995-96), "Election Night 96" (CBS, 1996-97) and "Opryland's Country Christmas" (CBS, 1996-97). He also worked on "Racin' and Rockin': Neal McCoy and Tracy Byrd Celebrate 50 Years of NASCAR" (The Nashville Network, 1998-99). In the nineties, Jones lent his talents to projects like "18 Wheels of Justice" (The Nashville Network, 1999-2001), "2000 Wimbledon" (TNT, 1999-2000) and "Merle Haggard: For the Record" (1999-2000). Jones most recently acted in the Dana Carvey comedy "The Master of Disguise" (2002).
